The Scimitar series by Shimano was designed with a high-end look and feel that outperforms every rod in its class. The Scimitar series of spinning rods feature Aluminum Oxide guides for increased casting distance and durability, especially for those anglers fishing with PowerPro braided fishing lines. The rods are extremely light, super durable, and most importantly sensitive for finesse and light-tackle applications. The Scimitar series of rods provides anglers a rod with a traditional aesthetic with a full-length cork handle and a compressed cork butt cap for increased durability when fighting fish. If compactness for transport or storage is important, there are also several two-piece options within the Scimitar line of spinning rods.
