Shimano Chronarch CI4+
The new Chronarch CI4+ is on the of the most high tech casting reels on the market today. When Shimano redesigned this reel, they packed it full of brand new features. First off, this new Chronarch features a brand new version of Shimano's famous CI4 material. This new CI4+ material, not only gives the Chronarch it's new name, but is also an amazing 250% stronger than the previous CI4 material. In addition to it's added strength, CI4+ is also over one and a half times stronger than Shimano's XTG-7 graphite used in Shimano's less expensive reels, as well as being 20% lighter! Using these materials helps to give the Chronarch CI4+ a super rigid, lightweight, and strong frame to give this reel amazing durability!
New Braking System
The other feature that sets these reels apart from past versions is the new SVS Infinity Braking System. SVS offers consistent, easy to manage spool speed by using brake weights that use inner friction against the raceway. It also features an external adjustment knob, so you can quickly and easily make adjustments to the braking while on the water. Along with the new braking system, these reels feature X-Ship, as well as HEG gearing, which further enhance the the durability and performance of these reels. Combine that with a Super Free spool, seven ball bearings, and Super Stopper anti-reverse, and you have yourself one of the best baitcasting reels on the market today!!
