Description

Redwing Tackle Spawn Net

Whether you are looking for Chinook salmon in the fall, trout in the winter, or trying to catch some steelheads in the spring, you are going to need the right bait. The right bait in this case are the eggs of the fish you are going for. This is where Redwing Tackle’s Spawn Nets come into the mix. Since spawn, or rather fish eggs, are small and slippery they need to be grouped together and put into small ‘nets’ before you can put in on a hook.

Redwing Tackle Spawn Nets are fantastic for making these egg sacs because they are very soft and thin to prevent the fragile eggs from turning into mush or the egg sac itself sinking. The average size of each ‘sac’ should really not need to be more than ½ inch to ¾ inch in diameter.

 Colors are Important

The Redwing Tackle Spawn Nets come in a variety of colors to allow for different experimentation with the eggs. Steelhead salmon have an attraction to orange and pink in particular but other fish can have varying tastes in regards to what looks more ‘natural’ so we offer the following colors to enhance your arsenal:

The Redwing Tackle Spawn Net Yellow

The Redwing Tackle Spawn Net Salmon

The Redwing Tackle Spawn Net Chartreuse

The Redwing Tackle Spawn Net Peach

The Redwing Tackle Spawn Net Neon Orange

The Redwing Tackle Spawn Net Hot Pink

The Redwing Tackle Spawn Net White

Some Things to Consider

Fishing with spawn sacs always requires a few extra steps of preparation beforehand but it is almost always worth it. That being said, we at Fishingurus.com would like to offer you some tips regarding the use of spawn sacs. The first is this: the eggs are often very perishable and so you will often need to change out the dried out sac for a fresh one regularly. The other main piece of advice that we would wish to impart is that while these Redwing Tackle nets are durable but will not withstand very harsh or powerful casts. This form of bait may be more delicate, but that just means the fish consider it a delicacy.
