Description

Intruder Fillet Board

The famous Clean-A-Fish fillet board was introduced in 1965, providing anglers with a truly versatile system for cleaning and preparing panfish, walleye, bass, northern pike and salmon. The custom-contoured hardwood base will not dull knives and cleans easily. The mounted Strong-Jaw steel fillet clamp has sharp V-grooves that hold fish securely-leaving both hands free for cleaning the catch. Perfectly designed for easy grip and carrying, hanging or storage.

3 Step Process For Filleting

1. You can buy a filleting knife that is designed for the specific purpose of filleting fish; these work quite well. However, if you aren't in the market for a brand new knife, find one with a long, thin, and quite sharp blade. This will enable you to cleanly cut the fish's meat away from the bones. Don't use a serrated knife to fillet a fish; it will shred the delicate meat. Sharpen your knife's blade before getting to work.

2. Set up a work area. Filleting a fish can be rather messy, so it's good to set up a work space ahead of time. You'll need a large cutting board. You can line it with newspaper or butcher paper for easy clean up. Set out a clean plate for the fillets.

3.Prepare the fish for filleting. Rinse it well in cold water. You can pat it dry with a paper towel if you'd like. Lay the fish horizontally on the cutting board with the bottom of the fish facing you.

Why Intruder Fillet Board

The Intruder Fillet board has many features that normal boards don't have such as, a steel clamp for holding the fish, bult in fish scaler, and grooves in the board that will help cleaning. This filleting board also come with instructions that make filleting much easier. Fillet boards are important because they insure the greatest success rate in actually cleaning a fish.
